About Suffolk Septic Pump-Out Help
Suffolk Septic Pump-Out Help is a free referral service for homeowners in Suffolk, Virginia and nearby towns.
Every year, Suffolk septic owners in the city's Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area get a letter saying their tank is due for its five-year pump-out. Plenty of other homeowners just know something's wrong when the drains slow down. Either way, the first question is the same: who do I call?
That's what we're here for. We explain the city's requirements in plain English and point you to independent septic companies that serve your part of Suffolk.
What we are, and aren't
- We are a referral and information service.
- We are not a septic contractor or sewage hauler. We don't pump tanks, inspect systems, make repairs or quote prices.
- The companies you hire are independent. They're responsible for holding their own Virginia Department of Health sewage handling permits and any licenses their work requires, along with their own insurance, pricing and workmanship.
- It's free for homeowners. We may be compensated by participating service companies. That never costs you anything, and you're always free to hire anyone you like.
About the information on this site
We link to the original sources (City of Suffolk, Virginia Department of Health, the Virginia Administrative Code, USDA) wherever we state a requirement or a fact, so you can check it yourself. Rules and contacts change. If anything here conflicts with what the city or health department tells you, go with them, and please let us know so we can fix it.
